The Premier Athletic Instructional, and Coaching Staffs are second to none. All of our instructors and coaches have cheered for some of the top programs in the country, and most have been teaching or coaching for several years. All of our instructors are safety certified, and have learned from some of the best coaches in the country. Please take some time to view our coaches bios, and their accomplishments below.
Mark Warrick
General Manager
mwarrick@premierathletics.com
Mark is currently the General Manager for Premier Cheerleading of Murfreesboro and the Sabre All-Star Program. He is in charge of the day-to-day operations in the gym. His cheerleading experience started at Riverdale High School, where he continued on to Middle Tennessee State University for three years. He then went to the University of Tennessee at Knoxville for one year where he lettered as a member of the VOLS cheerleading squad. Mark has worked as a camp staff member for UCA. He has coached 35 National Championships, 3 Class Championships, 2 Grand Championship, and numerous regional and local championships in his nine-year career as a competitive cheerleading coach.
Spencer Gibbs
Sabre Coach
Spencer is starting his first year with Premier, after taking sometime off from cheerleading to serve his country in Iraq. He started coaching in 1996 with United Cheerleading while still competitively cheering for McGavock High School, as well as helping Cheers open their gym just a few years later. In 2000, he coached his first high school team to a national event, placing them 2nd, after never competing before and has grown from that experience. He went on to serve on the UCA staff, and cheer for MTSU and TTU before leaving off for the military. While in the military, he helped open a gym in Virginia Beach before leaving for Iraq. Now he is back and doing what he loves…
Stephen Collins
Sabre Coach
Stephen started his cheerleading career at Blackman High School on their small varsity, where he has won (2) state championships, and was a part of their national finalist coed team. He continues to progress in his cheerleading abilities by competing on the Senior Coed L3 team. He also coaches our beginner classes along with several school squads. Stephen is very blessed to be an outstanding coed stunter, and passes that knowledge on to kids that participate in our Coed Stunt class. He will graduate in 2010 and plans on cheering for the Louisville Cardinals on their large coed team.
